About Alice
I am a recent graduate with a BA Honours degree in Liberal Arts from Amsterdam University College, one of the top universities in the Netherlands. I specialise in philosophy and literature, and am an avid reader and writer. I have completed university courses in Creative Writing, Academic Research Writing, and Advanced Research Writing in which I have developed excellent written communication skills and precise critical thinking skills. Through taking a wide variety of courses including Global Identity Experience, Introduction to Literary and Cultural Theory, World Religions, and Religion, Secularism, and Violence (to name but a few) I have gained a good understanding of culture, social justice issues, the role of the individual and collective, and the human condition. A Liberal Arts education is aimed towards broadening your understanding of the complex world which we live in, and illuminating the crucially important social, political, and cultural issues at stake. This is the approach I take towards education - prioritising both depth and breadth of understanding. I also have experience teaching English as a foreign language and creative arts abroad to children of all ages.

I believe in tailoring teaching to the needs and desires of each student, depending on how that individual learns best. This can include using visual, practical, written, problem-solving, or discussion, based methods. My lessons are thus structured around the student's preferences, but are always interesting and focused, with the aim to cultivate a deep understanding of the topic at hand. I am open to students of varying levels, tutoring at GCSE and A-Level standard, and anywhere in between.
I have a lot of experience in writing essays and academic papers, and as such I am also available to help proofread and edit essays to a very high standard.
