About Themba

My name is Themba, I am a producer/DJ from South Africa based in Brooklyn, New York. I have been Djing for 7 years and producing music for 6 years and am only working to get better at my craft. I also have experience as a DJ touring all over the world including countries such as Germany, the UK, Mexico and South Africa.

About the lesson

My lessons are hands-on, high-energy, and built around you. You won’t just sit and watch — you’ll be mixing, creating, experimenting, and building real skills from day one. Expect to have fun, move a little, and leave every session sharper than you came in.

The fundamentals of mixing (no fluff, just what actually works)

How to plan and build a proper set

Guidance on choosing the right equipment for your goals

Whether you’re brand new or looking to level up, I’ll help you develop clean technique and real confidence.

If you want to make your own music, we’ll build it step by step:

Producing a track from scratch

Finding the right DAW and workflow for you

Arrangement, sound selection, and creative process

Mixing and mastering techniques to get your track sounding polished

By the end, you won’t just understand production — you’ll actually have music to show for it.
