About Marine

I am qualified and experienced native French teacher. I hold a DAEFLE diploma from the Alliance Française as well as a Master's degree in language didactics, specialised in teaching French as a foreign language from the university of Grenoble, France. I have been teaching French for several years, mostly online. I am a certified DELF/DALF examiner.

About the lesson

I have experience teaching students from very varied backgrounds and levels. Therefore, I always adapt the classes to the level of each of my students, preparing specific activities ahead of time. My teaching methodology is based on the action and communication oriented approaches, which means that all the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation is usually included in a communicative activity, allowing you to learn and practise French in context. I will send you homework ahead of the lesson (usually a listening and/or reading activity, and maybe some exercises to put in practise what we did during the last class). If you do not have time for homework, just let me know and I will adapt the lessons accordingly, I can for instance give you a personalised set of flashcards with vocabulary we saw recently so that you could revisit it on your mobile.

In any case, the classes are made for you, tailored to your needs so you can always ask me if you wish to talk about a particular topic or review something specific. I can also help you prepare for an exam, I have prepared students for the DELF (A2, B1 and B2) and DALF (C1) diplomas, A-level and I have helped others with university coursework.

I teach Monday to Friday from 9am to 5/7pm depending on the days.

I also organise bookclubs, sometimes accessible from a B1 level so do get in touch if you are interested.

I can teach in person but only in central Cambridge or CB4.
