About Wong

I am teaching Japanese and Mandarin language at my own language center for over 10 years starting from 2013. Besides conducting class to learners from all background and level, I am also work as translator and interpreter for both language. I have been helping countless students excel in JLPT and HSK exam.

About the lesson

Nihao! My name is Ellie and I’m a passionate and experienced language instructor. I have several years of experience teaching Mandarin language to learners of all ages and backgrounds. My goal is to make learning Mandarin an exciting and rewarding experience for you. Is Mandarin language difficult to learn? Not at all! Learning Mandarin can be easier than you think with the right approach. I design lessons that break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. Plus, I tailor each lesson to suit your learning style and goals, ensuring you stay motivated and confident. I am providing exam prep class for HSK learners, adult daily conversational class, and Mandarin class for children. Deadly! Ellie is a great teacher, really enthusiastic about Chinese and language learning in general! She prepares good lesson activities and is fun and quite firm when it comes to pronunciation. Her use of on screen calligraphy is also useful for beginners.

Deadly! She was cheerful and friendly with my children, and the lessons looked fun. She quickly grasped the characteristics of the children and suggested their current level and study methods. Most importantly, she can speak Japanese, which was very reassuring for us, whose native language is Japanese.

Deadly! Based on my 1st trial class with Ms. Ellie (Wong). It was a good and structured class. Whereby she had some beginner materials we went over with and she always corrected my intonation even though at times I can be hopeless as the intonations can make the words mean totally something else.

Teaching materials are not only textbooks, she also includes reading Japanese articles and news online. The explanations are very easy to understand, Sensei often uses examples that we can relate to and explain. She also encourages students to speak even if they are not confident, and she will do her best to help them feel comfortable and practise the language with her.
