About Sara
I have been teaching Italian for three years, initially as a private tutor in individual lessons, and more recently teaching wider groups of 10 to 15 students.
In the past year, I have volunteered for Language4Water at the University of Glasgow, teaching Italian to raise funds for widening access to water in developing countries.
My classes enabled beginner-level students to speak with their partner in their native language, prepare for their student exchange in Italy, or just gain the basics to communicate when on holiday.
As a private tutor, I have mainly taught intermediate to advanced-level students. For example, professionals frequently travelling to Italy were able to level up from B1 to B2 and C1 by strengthening their grammar and practice conversation through a full-immersion method.
My bachelor degree in English, secondary school diploma in Languages and experiences living in several foreign countries around Europe have certainly helped me craft a practical, effective approach when teaching a foreign language.

I am a native speaker of Italian who has been living in Glasgow for over 7 years and hold a bachelor degree in English and masters degree in Journalism.
When it comes to teaching Italian, I have a precise methodology which I have perfected in 18 years of learning foreign languages. My approach revolves around the four main aspects of learning a new language: reading, writing, speaking and listening.
I have in-depth knowledge of grammar but I can also provide conversation-only sessions and insights into the Italian culture and literature. Classes are entirely tailored to your needs, level and interests, and you will be provided with all the necessary materials.
