About Debbie
I have been fortunate to live in Singapore for eleven years, only returning back home to South Africa early in May of this year. During this time, I realized the need for people all over the world to learn what is regarded as a global language, English.
I completed a Teaching English as a Foreign Language Certificate and since January 2020 have been teaching English on an online platform. My successes have been memorable and I have retained a rating of 4.9 and above (maximum 5.0) during this entire time. My number of regular students has increased and I have retained several of these for the duration of my teaching.
I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Criminology, and also a Bachelor of Arts Honors Degree in Criminology. I have worked professionally for many years in positions that required English perfection in speaking, writing, presenting, and on occasion coaching.
You will be assured of a professional lesson with a tutor who loves what she does and will give her best at all times - that tutor is me.

As you strive to reach your goal of English speaking fluency, using correct grammar and pronunciation, I will be there to guide you each step of the way.
Our lessons will include conversational English on topics of your choice, reading articles to assess your comprehension followed by discussion questions related to the article.
Reading, listening, understanding, and speaking are the most important aspects to allow you to feel comfortable when communicating in English either on a social or professional level.
Should your career/job include presentations, I will help with the preparation of these to ensure that you are comfortable and confident when addressing your audience.
