About Ayelet

As a tutor, I bring years of experience and a proven track record of helping students succeed in organic chemistry. Having served as an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania for two years, I’ve worked with a diverse range of students, tailoring my teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. Since then, I’ve continued tutoring students one-on-one, helping them not only understand challenging concepts but also achieve their academic goals—whether it’s acing a tough exam or building the skills to excel in pre-med courses. As a current medical student who has earned honors in every clinical rotation and successfully passed the rigorous USMLE Step 1, I know firsthand how to approach complex material with precision and clarity. My lessons are always structured, professional, and student-centered, creating a supportive environment where you can ask questions freely and grow confident in your understanding. With me as your tutor, you can expect dedication, clear explanations, and a strong focus on problem-solving strategies that will empower you to tackle organic chemistry head-on. My goal is to help you not only master the material but also develop the skills and confidence to excel in your studies and beyond.

Review: We begin by briefly reviewing the previous lesson and addressing any lingering questions.

Concept Introduction: I introduce new topics using clear explanations and visual aids (e.g., reaction mechanisms, molecule drawings).

Application: Together, we solve a series of progressively challenging problems, ensuring the student actively engages with the material.

Practice & Feedback: I provide additional practice questions and real exam-style problems for reinforcement. Feedback is immediate, and I tailor explanations to address any struggles.

Wrap-Up: We summarize key takeaways and identify areas to focus on for independent study.

What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor:

I combine years of experience as an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant at the University of Pennsylvania with continued tutoring since, giving me a deep understanding of the subject and effective teaching methods. I adapt my lessons to each student's unique learning style and pace, fostering a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions. My background in medical school also allows me to connect organic chemistry concepts to real-world applications in medicine and biology, enhancing both understanding and motivation.

Who the Lessons Are For:

These lessons are ideal for undergraduate students taking organic chemistry courses or anyone looking to strengthen their grasp of organic chemistry concepts. Whether you’re struggling with reaction mechanisms, synthesis problems, or exam preparation, my tutoring is tailored to help you succeed, no matter your starting level.
