About Peggy

Hello!

My name is Peggy. I've recently graduated from a degree in English Language and Literature at University of Oxford, and am excited to share all the amazing things I've learned about English with others. English is such an exciting subject to study - it's incredible how authors can use details as tiny as language to express commentary on events in the world around us.

When approaching my exams back in A Levels, the best technique for me was practice. Practicing vocalising ideas verbally, or writing essay questions, or just brainstorming, keeping things ticking over in my head (even for just a few minutes a day) helped me to approach exam problems with fresh eyes. Tutoring is a great way for you to do this, because it means your regularly returning to a challenge that you're attempting to tackle.

About the lesson

Personal goals are so important to tutoring. If between us we can establish what yours are (whether you want to learn some more about different types of structure and how they're used, to create a template that you can use when writing comparative essays, or to practice critical analysis) then we can use our tutoring time to reach it in steps of a size that you feel comfortable with.
