About Katharina

I am a current MPhil International Relations student at the University of Oxford.

Having experienced Oxford education as both an undergrad (VS) and graduate student, and currently training to tutor undergraduate students myself, I am equipped and eager to support students in their application journeys.

My qualifications are of particular value to those students seeking to pursue their higher education at top-tier universities. Having received a total of 7 offers from Oxford, Cambridge, and LSE throughout my undergraduate and graduate application processes, I know what matters to such institutions when making their admission decisions, and how to maximise a students' chances of admission. About the lesson

Having worked with over 60 students in the past 8+ years, I am able to neatly tailor lessons towards my students goals and needs, enabling to deepen their strengths and overcome their weaknesses. I develop detailed lesson plans and incorporate self-reflection practices into my lesson to enhance students' ability to develop crucial meta-strategies for their tests and interviews.

Admissions Test Preparation: These sessions will be focussed on analysing, understanding, and internalising the question patterns in the tests. I have found that training students to understand these patterns and developing strategies on how to approach different question types is the best preparation to ensure students can tackle any question on the real exam.

Interview Preparation: These sessions will be structured according to the tutorial system at Oxbridge as the real interviews will be, too. Students will be confronted with a broad range of interview question and receive feedback. This provides the basis for the development of interview strategies that will help students give organised and intelligent answers in the actual interview.

Personal Statement Preparation: In these sessions students will receive feedback on their personal statement drafts, combined with some reflection exercises enabling them to identify their authentic narrative.
