About Gurdeep

I am a Mechanical Engineer with an MBA degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Data Science. I am a certified Six Sigma (Green Belt) practitioner. I am passionate about helping students demystify the complexities of Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering Statics catering to high school and STEM undergraduates. I help not only with school/college/university curriculum but also teach selective subjects for SAT 1 & 2, APs, GMAT and other competitive exams. I help students with developing analytical and critical thinking skills, problem-solving techniques, and provide career coaching to do better in life. I have taught students from UBC, SFU, BCIT, Carleton, Douglas and many more with exceptional results, reviews and recommendations.

About the lesson

I am a firm believer in "practice makes perfect"! A typical lesson with me would involve a justifiable mix of teaching and understanding of the concepts through visual and verbal cues, solving practice questions with gradually increasing levels of difficulty and revision of concepts. Reading notes will be emailed at the end of the class and students can opt to receive additional practice questions. My teaching philosophy is to first develop a rapport with the student through trust building and going beyond the textbook to give real-life examples while focusing on both simplifying the conceptual understanding and practicing enough questions to improve subject matter retention.

Deadly! I am at Douglas College studying engineering. I had Gurdeep and his team tutor me for my first 2 semesters of engineering, and they have been amazing help. I had been dealing with a lot of health issues in the first semester as well, and Gurdeep and his team helped me throughout the entire process. In my second semester, I was taking 4 classes, with 2 being physics classes. In my physics mechanics class, Gurdeep and his team consistently helped me be at the top of my class. During my second semester in my circuits class, I did not do well on a midterm (54%) due to health issues, but Gurdeep and his team helped me achieve a 94% on my final exam and helped me get on the Dean's list for my second semester at Douglas College with a 4.0+ GPA.

Aran is a very sincere, dedicated and mature student. He is proactive in anticipating the difficulty of his studies and has started preparing for the difficult subjects in advance. He is currently undertaking Calculus and Chemistry classes from us and plans to take up 4+ more subjects once his studies start. Aran has a very goal in mind and is very focussed in achieving that... and we are glad to support him in his academic journey for multiple engineering subjects!
