About Fatai

My name is Fatai and I am a dedicated PhD-qualified lecturer and researcher with a lifelong passion for teaching and mentoring. I have over 30 years of combined experience in academia, policy, and leadership, with a special focus on civil-military relations, security governance, and African politics. I have taught at postgraduate level, designed and delivered modules in international relations and African studies, and supported students at every stage — from A Level to dissertation supervision. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my approach to help you gain clarity, confidence, and critical thinking skills that last far beyond the classroom. I believe that learning should be engaging, practical, and directly connected to real-world challenges. About the lesson

As a PhD-qualified lecturer and practitioner with over 30 years of combined academic and leadership experience, I bring a practical, engaging, and student-focused approach to every lesson. My teaching draws on real-world insights from civil-military relations, security governance, African politics, and international relations. My lessons are designed to make complex ideas clear and relevant — blending academic theory with practical examples and current case studies. I encourage active discussion, critical thinking, and independent research skills, helping students develop confidence in their own ideas and arguments. I tailor each session to the learner’s needs, whether you need help understanding a challenging topic, preparing for exams, or structuring a dissertation. I use blended methods — slides, discussion prompts, short readings — and guide students to reliable sources so they build strong research habits. A typical lesson lasts 60–90 minutes, depending on your goals and the topic. I offer flexible scheduling to fit around your studies or work. My teaching is ideal for A Level students, undergraduates, and postgraduate students studying Politics, International Relations, African Studies, Conflict Resolution, and Security Governance.
