About Samuel

About Samuel – Piano Tutor As a dedicated and inspiring piano tutor, I am passionate about guiding students of all ages to discover the joy and discipline of music. My teaching philosophy blends patience, creativity, and structure — ensuring that every learner not only plays but truly understands and feels the music. With years of experience as a Music Director and Instrument Tutor in reputable schools across Ibadan, I bring both professional expertise and a personal touch to each lesson. As a graduate of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, I combine formal training with real-world experience to help students build confidence, technique, and musical expression at every level. My lessons are engaging and adaptable, typically lasting 45 minutes to 1 hour, and designed to meet the needs of beginners, intermediate players, and advanced students alike. Whether you’re learning for exams, performance, or pure enjoyment, you’ll find a supportive environment where your musical growth is the priority. Every class is a step toward mastery — one key, one note, one confident performance at a time.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach
As a passionate and patient piano tutor, I focus on helping students understand both the art and science of music. My lessons are designed to build strong foundational skills in sight-reading, ear training, technique, and musical expression — while keeping each session enjoyable and motivating. I tailor my teaching style to suit every student’s pace and learning style, ensuring consistent progress and confidence at the keyboard.
Techniques and Methodology
I combine classical training methods with modern teaching approaches, using practical exercises, simplified theory, and performance-based learning. Students are introduced to pieces that match their interests and gradually challenged with advanced repertoire. I emphasize correct posture, fingering, timing, and interpretation — fostering both discipline and creativity.
Lesson Duration
A typical lesson lasts between 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the student’s level and focus area. Beginners often start with shorter sessions that gradually extend as they progress.
Qualifications and Experience
I am a graduate of The Polytechnic, Ibadan, with years of experience as a Music Director and Musical Instrument Tutor in reputable schools across Ibadan. My background allows me to combine both academic understanding and real-life musicianship in my teaching.
My Lessons Are For
My piano lessons are open to all ages and skill levels — from young beginners discovering music for the first time to adults seeking to improve or reignite their passion for piano playing. Whether for exams, performance, worship, or personal enjoyment, every learner receives dedicated and personalized instruction.
