About Desiree

My name is Desiree and I am very passionate about music and piano. I'm a self-taught pianist for over 14 years. My passion for the piano began at the age of 10. For the first two years, I learned to play through YouTube videos, and from the age of 12, I began to learn music by ear and develop my versatility in pop, contemporary, religious, and classical music.
Piano has allowed me to express myself, and I believe that every person should have the opportunity to express themselves and discover their creativity through music. Supporting students as they uncover their creativity is one of the greatest joys of my work.

About the lesson

I offer in-person lessons for both children from 6 y.o. and adults. My lessons are suitable for all piano levels. I design a lesson plan individually for each piano student to ensure that all of my students learn to the best of their ability. My goal for every student is to allow them to express themselves through music and also help them discover their musical creativity. I also organize piano concerts for my students, which gives them a chance to learn about stage presence, resulting in confidence when performing in front of any crowd. Carrying out the concerts also gives them the opportunity to play in front of their loved ones and show them what they have been working on throughout the year.

I also help Junior and Leaving Cert Music students master chord progressions, melody writing, and set works, while offering guidance to ensure their practical exams run smoothly.

Deadly! Desiree makes learning piano so enjoyable and stress-free. She prepares the lessons to make sure I could easily follow and practice at home, and after a few lessons, she suggested to start practicing songs that I want to play, as she could help with building the music sheet that matches my level. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to learn piano in a relaxed, supportive way!
