I’m dedicated to helping students of all ages and levels achieve their musical dreams and discover the joy of playing piano. With over 15 years of experience and extensive qualifications, including a diploma and degree in Music Performance and a postgraduate diploma in Education, my approach combines expert knowledge with a passion for music.

My teaching methodology is built on a solid foundation of classical training and modern pedagogical techniques. I emphasize a balanced approach that incorporates:

Personalized Instruction: Lessons are customized to fit each student’s unique learning style, interests, and goals. Whether the student is a young beginner or an advanced adult, I adapt my methods to ensure effective and engaging learning experiences.

Structured Progression: I use a structured curriculum that covers all necessary aspects of piano playing, from basic technique to advanced theory. This includes ABRSM grades 1-8 for both practical and theoretical knowledge, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the instrument.

Encouragement and Motivation: I foster a positive learning environment by celebrating achievements and providing constructive feedback. My goal is to build confidence and inspire a lifelong love for music.

Active Performance: As an active freelance musician, I incorporate real-world performance experiences into my teaching, helping students connect their learning with actual performance contexts.

Lesson Details:

Typical Length: Beginners typically have 30-minute lessons, while advanced students benefit from 1-hour sessions. Lessons are held once a week, with a total of 4 lessons per month.

Flexibility: I offer lessons at the student’s home, providing convenience and comfort in a familiar setting.

Qualifications and Experience:
With a background in teaching at both private schools and as a current music lecturer at a private institution, I bring a wealth of experience to my tutoring. I have successfully taught students ranging from as young as 3 years old to adults up to 70 years old, ensuring that my teaching methods are effective across all age groups and skill levels.
