About Erika
I am an outgoing, and caring individual with a passion for working with young people. I believe deeply that all children are intelligent and capable, if given the right opportunities and support to learn. I am also a trained Children's Yoga and Mindfulness Teacher and therefore kindness, empathy, respect, rand compassion underpin all that I do.

I am a passionate Primary Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. As a Canadian National with experience teaching in Britain, I bring an appreciation for both diversity and inclusivity. My experience in both countries has led me to become an adaptable and flexible practitioner; able to communicate with patience, respect, and kindness. I have experience teaching whole class, small groups, and one on one, within a classroom and a tutoring setting both in person, and online through ZOOM and Google Meets.
My lessons are engaging with clear objectives. Progress is tracked and communicated. The length of lessons are determined by age, stage, and needs of pupils.
I especially enjoy working with young children and have supported several on their journey of early reading using explicit and systematic phonics instruction.
