About Davina
I am Davina, a qualified primary school teacher with a degree in Psychology and a PGCE with QTS. My academic background in Psychology gives me a deep understanding of how children think and learn, which I bring into every lesson I plan and deliver.
During my time in the classroom, I planned and taught effective English lessons that made a real difference — improving pupils' comprehension skills in preparation for their SATs and developing their reading abilities. Seeing children grow in confidence and ability is what drives me as an educator.
I am professional, nurturing and fully committed to every child I work with. My lessons are not one size fits all. I take the time to understand each child's individual needs and tailor every session to where they are and where they need to be. Parents can feel confident that their child is in safe, experienced and qualified hands.
I am passionate about giving every child the support they deserve to thrive — and I bring that same dedication to every online session I deliver.

I am a qualified primary school teacher with a degree in Psychology and a PGCE with QTS, bringing both academic knowledge and professional classroom experience to every session.
My lessons are one hour long and carefully structured to make the most of every minute. Each session begins with a quick starter activity tailored specifically to the area your child needs to develop, followed by a clear focus on the topic of the lesson and key vocabulary to build confidence and understanding. I then use the proven "I Do, We Do, You Do" approach — I model the skill first, we work through it together, and then your child applies it independently. Every session closes with a supported independent task and a plenary to consolidate what has been learnt.
My lessons are designed for KS1 and KS2 children aged 5 to 11, covering all core primary subjects with a particular focus on English. Whether your child needs to build foundational skills or push towards their full potential, my sessions are structured, nurturing and tailored to their individual needs.
