I plan Structured Literacy Intervention lessons. A structured literacy lesson typically includes explicit and systematic instruction focused on all key components of literacy, including phonemic awareness, phonics, spelling, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. I like to incorporate multisensory activities and a sequential approach to teaching literacy concepts. I work hard to motivate my students, develop trust, and show students that learning can be fun! Creating a positive and encouraging learning environment is key to motivating students. I accomplish this by celebrating small victories to build confidence, providing personalized feedback and support, and incorporating games and interactive activities to make learning enjoyable. I draw from my extensive training and experience to enhance my lessons. Enhanced Core Reading Instruction focuses on improving fundamental reading skills. The Orton Gillingham strategies I have learned help me use a multisensory approach, which is particularly effective for students with dyslexia. I completed Science of Reading (LETRS 1-8) training. The Science of Reading is a research-based strategy for teaching reading. I have experience using Guided Reading as a technique to support students at their individual reading levels. My lessons are designed for students in grades K-5 that struggle with reading and writing. With a degree in graphic design, I utilize my skills to create visually appealing and effective educational materials. These resources are tailored to meet the diverse needs of my students, ensuring they have the tools necessary for success in their literacy journey.
