About Alexander
Hi, I'm Alex, an experienced Teaching Assistant and freelance writer/content creator with several years of experience working with young people in education.
I offer friendly, relaxed and personalised online tuition in English, writing, media and football, helping students build both their skills and confidence.
I know that traditional classroom learning doesn't work equally well for everyone. My approach is to understand what a student is struggling with, break it down into manageable steps and make lessons engaging rather than overwhelming.
I've worked in a school environment for several years, supporting children and young people with different abilities and learning styles.
Alongside this, I work as a freelance music journalist and content creator. I've written reviews, interviews and features, covered major live music events and built my own social-media platform focused on music and culture.
I also have experience in football commentary and football-focused media, so I can offer something a little different from a traditional academic tutor.

Lessons are delivered online via Zoom, Google Meet or another platform that works for you.
Sessions can be completely tailored to the student. Whether you need regular weekly support, help preparing for an upcoming exam, feedback on your writing or simply want to become more confident in a particular subject, we can build the lessons around you.
I'm friendly, patient and approachable, and I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. That's how you improve.
