About Rachel

I am a Mum of 2 teenagers and have been through parenting children in primary as well as working in primary school so I am fully aware of the expectation of the curriculum.
However I truly believe that some learners need more focus due to many factors and often get left behind in mainstream education. I am passionate to give those children a voice and a chance to learn at the pace and level that they need. They should feel successful and excited about the future and the world they live in.

About the lesson

With a relaxed approach, building a relationship and trust is vital before exploring education. Tailoring learning to the needs and interests of a young person helps to re-engage and ignite a natural curiosity.
I have worked in mainstream education as a classroom LSA as well as 1:1 and small group interventions before moving to personal tutoring to enable me to tailor make learning to an individual.
Lesson length depending on age and need. Primarily working with KS1 and KS2 children.
I can help with both literacy and numeracy.
