About Jivika
Hi! I’m a singing tutor with over 9 years of experience and an Advanced Diploma in Singing. I love teaching young children and early teens using creative and playful methods that make learning fun. My lessons are filled with games, movement, and storytelling to help students grasp pitch, rhythm, and vocal basics naturally. I enjoy introducing kids to folk songs, Disney tunes, and musicals that they love, all while focusing on age-appropriate techniques to keep their voices healthy. Building confidence is a big part of my teaching—helping students listen carefully and express themselves with joy. I create a warm and encouraging environment where every child feels safe to explore their voice. Through fun activities, kids not only develop strong skills but also find a real love for music. I believe that learning to sing should be exciting and stress-free. Each lesson is a new adventure where young voices can grow and shine. Together, we make music a joyful journey from the very first note!

The singing methodology for *The Advanced Teen* and *The Quartet Player* focuses on developing musicality, precise pitch control, and deep emotional expression. For the advanced teen, lessons emphasise vocal flexibility through exercises that explore a wide range of styles, helping them adapt their voice to different genres confidently. We work on building stage presence and personal interpretation to enhance emotional connection with each song. For the quartet player, teamwork and blend are key. Vocal exercises target harmonising skills, matching tone, and timing to ensure smooth, unified performances. Confidence is built by practising solo parts within the group context, encouraging individual expression while maintaining group cohesion. Both personas benefit from regular use of DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) to record and review their singing, allowing them to track progress and self-correct. Vocal apps are used daily for pitch training and breath control, ensuring technical precision. Metronomes help maintain rhythm and timing during rehearsals and performances. Lessons combine technical work with creative expression, balancing discipline with fun. This approach motivates students to push boundaries while nurturing their unique voice. With consistent practice and supportive feedback, both advanced teens and quartet players grow into versatile, confident performers.
