About Carla

Currently leading AQA A Level sociology in a London school, with experience leading GCSE sociology and teaching AS psychology. I am passionate about social sciences, my aim is get students to love the subject, whilst also achieving top grades! I am very flexible and adapt my teaching to suit the needs of each individual student; anything from the visual learner to those who prefer the traditional reading and writing. I have been teaching for five years and consider myself to be very approachable and patient. Whilst teaching in school, I have also tutored a variety of levels including primary and secondary. For each student I adapt the appropriate resources to suit their needs, something I aim to pick up on from the first session. Further experience includes working as a sociology examiner for AQA for the summer series- reflecting my understanding of key mark schemes. Able to focus on exam content/preparation for A level and GCSE exams. Content recall and writing effective essays and short mark responses. Effective revision techniques in the run up to exams and general help with work throughout the A level and GCSE course
