About Marie
I am really keen to work with students training to become Social Workers, by sharing my knowledge, experience and skills. I hope to encourage learning with my friendly and supportive style. Communication is a strong point of mine; I am always open to inquisitive minds and people who need some reinforcement of subject matter.
I completed my Social Work Degree with a 2:1 and all whilst growing a human (pregnancy) so I am more than open to a challenge!!

Hi, I’m Marie a qualified Social Worker, the main part of my career has been in children’s safeguarding (2017 - presently) but I have also dabbled in adult care assessments when I was newly qualified (2016).
I have always enjoyed sharing my learning and experience to help others. When I was at university my friends always came to me for help with assignments so I thought I would put my skills out there for someone else to benefit from. I have recently completed my Practice Educator training with my current employer.

Deadly! Marie has a wide range of knowledge regarding social work practice and ensures that lessons are planned according to individual learning wants and needs. Marie also has a brilliant teaching style and explains information very well. Lessons are very enjoyable!

I highly recommend Marie. She has extensive knowledge about social work (theory, legislation etc) and has fantastic written skills; this helped me with assignments.
Marie helped me write comprehensive written reflective logs & discuss various ethical issues. This was invaluable to me and greatly improved my practice.
I honestly don't know how I would have gotten through my placement without the support of Marie.
