About Parvathi
As a dedicated and experienced tutor, I am committed to helping students not only improve academically but also develop the confidence they need to succeed. With a strong foundation in mathematics, backed by my completion of all levels of Kumon and the rigorous International Baccalaureate (IB) program, I bring a thorough understanding of academic challenges and effective learning strategies.
I hold a Software Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo, equipping me with practical problem-solving skills that I share with my students to make learning more relatable and engaging. My approach is personalized, student-centered, and focused on long-term success.

A typical lesson plan starts with a review of the previous session's content to ensure understanding, followed by an introduction to new topics through clear explanations and examples. I then guide the student through practice problems, offering immediate feedback and support. The lesson ends with a recap of key takeaways and strategies for independent practice.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my diverse background. Having completed all levels of Kumon, the IB program, and holding a degree in Software Engineering, I bring both a structured approach to learning and a practical understanding of how math and problem-solving skills apply in real-world contexts.
