About Amanda
I am a dedicated Special Education teacher with over 10 years of experience supporting students with diverse learning needs. As a certified Wilson Dyslexia Practitioner, I provide structured, multisensory instruction that helps students build strong reading, writing, and math skills with confidence. I pride myself on creating flexible, individualized lessons that meet each learner where they are and adapt to their unique learning style.
Beyond the classroom, I have coached Girls on the Run, fostering confidence and perseverance in young learners, and I am a proud mother of three boys. These experiences shape my patient, compassionate approach and deep commitment to helping every child succeed.

Students benefit from working with me because I provide flexible scheduling and tailor each session to fit their unique needs and pace. I understand that every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching to support diverse learning styles, whether a student learns best through visual, auditory, or hands-on methods. I incorporate multisensory approaches that engage students actively, helping them better understand and retain new concepts in reading, writing, and math. With my special education background and experience, I focus on building confidence as well as academic skills, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable, capable, and motivated to succeed.
