About Sarah
I've always loved learning and teaching, and with every life and career change I incorporated those values as much as I could. I have experience working with many different learning disabilities, and having ADHD myself I'm able to pivot and maneuver with the changing focus and energy that it brings.
I firmly believe that in order to inspire others to learn and guide them along, I must listen more than I speak. I let students explain what they're doing, where they want to go and where they're getting stuck, and work with them so that they can discover an approach that is sustainable over time.

My approach to tutoring is student led - I listen more than I speak, and work collaboratively with students to figure out what style works for them, as well as factoring in adjustments for attention span, frustration and screen fatigue when they arise. Tutoring with me is done through the website, Zoom or Microsoft Teams, which allows me to work with students anywhere!
I love working with all ages, and I have reading, writing and vocabulary tutoring experience with students in grades 1-8. I am a food writer in my spare time and love helping students bring their ideas to paper.

Sarah taught my daughter for several years and was amazing! I can't say enough good things about her. She was compassionate and meets students where they are in their educational journey. She takes into account students' learning styles and presents information in a way that makes sense. When I had questions or concerns about a class, she didn't hesitate to address them. She is professional and approachable. My daughter adored her as a teacher. I would highly recommend her!
Sarah is an excellent tutor. She is knowledgeable, experienced and above all extremely patience. I have seen tremendous improvement in my studies since working alongside her, I truly cannot recommend her enough. Best decision I’ve made!
