Colleagues often marvel at my patience when teaching and what I usually do is try to focus on the individual. I am lucky enough to teach a subject that can quite readily be adapted to suit the interests of the person I am teaching at the time. My subject knowledge and knowledge of the world around me helps me expand on any interests that might develop in the student.
