I'm happy to bring my years of experience teaching and tutoring literature to help you in relating to and understanding literary texts. Whatever you may be struggling with in writing about literature-or if you just wish to improve-I've probably been there before with students and will be glad to work with you in your assignments.

I help students approach the text in 3 ways: 1)expressing their personal experience of reading it; 2) developing a defensible interpretation of it; and 3) seeing how the text relates to or illuminates real world situations. A typical lesson plan would involve my developing questions to lead students into each of these ways of experiencing or understanding a literary text. My lessons are pitched to high school and college level students.
