I have been lecturing at University level for more than15 years. I hold three degrees, including one masters degree. I received all three degrees Suma Cum Laude (with honours). I have a passion for guiding learners of all ages to develop and achieve to their full potential.

In my experience, every learner is unique. The whole point of private lessons or tutoring, is to provide the learner with a 'bespoke' educational experience - i.e. one that is tailored to the specific needs of the individual. Therefore, I always start with a thorough assessment of the individual learner's needs. E.g., are they struggling to structure, integrate, critically engage with, or simply memorise the material? Furthermore: Which parts of the curriculum do they find particularly challenging? What is level and nature of the learner's motivation? Do they even see the point of what they are learning? Once we have established what specific areas we need to focus on, lessons are structured to meet the individual learner's needs. Learning, as I see it, is an organic, collaborative process. Instead of forcing the learner into a preconceived mould, I try to mould the learning experience around the individual.

Details
I do not charge a travelling fee for student's who live within a 10km range of my home in Linden, Johannesburg. For travel beyond 12km, a R25 additional travelling fee per lesson will be applied. If scheduled lessons are cancelled less than 24 hours in advance, the full lesson fee will be applied.
