About Megan
I love learning new things...and then I love sharing those things! I have been teaching and public speaking since I was 7 years old. I have been in Optical since I was 15. Over the past 18 years I have also been learning about the autonomic nervous system and the biology of trauma. My company Vision Therapy Works is focused on Optometrists who need to train their therapists. In the middle of all of that, I also have my own aesthetics business where I teach makeup application and how to be an eyelash extension technician. Everything I do is with the goal of helping someone feel comfortable in their own skin, whether it be through personal development, learning a new language and broadening one's horizons, or helping you to feel comfortable to share your story with the world.

As a native English speaker, I have lived all across Canada. My personal background is that I majored in travel and tourism in high school while supporting that with two languages, French and Spanish. I still measure at Intermediate High for French level.
I have since immersed myself into the Deaf world and while introducing you to the culture and resources available, you will be learning ASL.
I am a veteran of the optical industry, having spent the past 28 years exploring all areas within it. If this industry fascinates you, this may just be the taste tester you need in order to decide to apply or to increase your knowledge.
As part of what I do in the optical industry and my previous experience, I have spoken in front of and taught thousands of people over the course of many years. I am happy to share how to tackle man's biggest fear...public speaking.
