About Finn
Professional teacher with full QTS, I have 6 years experience in private and state secondary schools and 18 years experience of private tution in a range of subjects including French, English Lang & Lit, English as a Foreign Language, Sociology, Maths, German. Postgrad qualified in International Relations, bilingual English/French, with Level 5 TEFL. Friendly, approachable & flexible, extensive SEN experience.

I tailor my teaching style to the individual's needs and strengths, and take a friendly and encouraging approach, to help build your confidence and independence in the subject. To me, personality is everything -- no two people start from the same point and it's essential to work with individual preferences, strengths and tastes rather than against them! In this way, studying is kept fresh, engaging and relevant. I teach from GCSE up to degree level in a range of subjects.

Travel within 10 miles of Horncastle is included in the price. Beyond that I charge a further 50p per mile.
Rates depend on how much planning time is needed to meet your requirements. For example, if you simply want help going through exam papers, with a particular task, or conversation in French, reduced rates are available. Conversely, a student who needs me to create and provide bespoke resources and deliver carefully structured lessons tailored to their needs, may need to pay a surcharge for extra time and costs involved. We can discuss this before you commit to anything!
