About Katie
I scored a 1590 on the SAT myself, and I've tutored two students in SAT Math and Reading before. I have successfully raised their scores over 100 points with continued practice and guidance through my tutoring.
I love helping others and showing students that their goals are attainable. I myself went through the SAT prep process, and I just want to help students and instill faith & hope in them that it's possible to raise their score above whatever threshold they like. I love seeing students' gradual yet evident improvement over time, and watching their faith in themselves skyrocket with more and more practice.
I started with nonprofit STEM volunteer organizations, which blossomed into actual tutoring, which I found to be a strong suit for me.

Upon meeting new students, I get to know them and their style of learning at first, understanding their learning speed and what they struggle with the most. Each person is different, so I recalibrate my teaching methods for each student I encounter. Then, I can begin to find and work through strategies with them, tackling their weaknesses and refining their skills through practice.

I price however much I believe my teaching is worth, and accommodate to the students' price-points as well. Previously, I've been paid $25 an hour and $35 an hour.
