About Amy
Hi there. I'm Amy and I study German and Italian at the University of Bristol, and I absolutely love it. I study how the languages work, and also the cultural elements which includes the history, culture, and (my personal favourite) literature of the countries. Being able to communicate with and understand people from different countries and cultures excites me.
I have experience tutoring one to one and have helped students achieve their goals. I have helped students pass their GCSEs, and even achieve grades way beyond what they thought they could manage.
Take it from me, although language learning is tough, you are tougher!

My sessions will usually be based around what I know works for me. Often, I'll explain something, and try to make it as memorable as possible, then we'll try and put what we've learnt into practice. I find that it's really important to know how what your learning fits into the wider context of real texts, real life. I'll use a mix of audio (speaking to you) and visual (writing, drawings, diagrams, mind maps) methods- the more senses engaged, the more likely you are to understand and remember something. I'll pay particular attention to questions you have and elements you struggle with to help you improve.
