About James
I love teaching art history to anyone and everyone - any age, any background. I have a PhD in art history and have taugh art history, off and on, for 20 years. I've also worked at a number of museums as a curator and director. I currently teach art history at a state university. I love watching my students develop an understand and a passion for the visual arts.
Qualifications:
BA, MA, and PhD in art history
20 year teaching and museum career
Seeing that spark of understanding in a learner's eyes. I love seeing improvement over time. I love sharing my joy and passion for art with curious minds.
I have a BA (Florida State), MA (University of South Carlina) and PhD (University of Oklahoma) in art history. I've taught art history at a number of colleges and universities, and I have also worked at a number of art museums.

I like to have an open conversation about their experience with art, art history, and academics. Next, I like to talk about what the student is struggling with and how I might be able to help. Just having an open, honest converstion can go along way. Next, the student and I will set up up goals and a timeline together.
