About Jessica

I have a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis on training and development, business policy and operations, and organizational behavior. I graduated with 4.0 GPA. I am high energy, a great motivator, and love working with people. I’ve honed my skills in conducting needs assessments and developing instructional objectives, building a firm foundation of industry knowledge. My communication skills have defused countless tense situations, and I work effectively in high-pressure situations.

Through my career, I have gained extensive experience of successfully managing, monitoring, embedding, and reporting on the performance of key workforce objectives in relation to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. Aside from my managerial competencies, I have an inquisitive mind along with an ability to inspire, challenge and support others.

I also believe in being a facilitator during lessons and encourage students to ask questions. I am well-versed in tutoring elementary school children, in any topic that is required, particularly common core math and English. I hope to work with you soon.

When it comes down to it, the feeling of being able to successfully teach a student something (and having them retain, practice, and eventually master that concept) is an incredibly rewarding experience.

About the lesson

When working with a prospect, the most important aspect of the entire process is building a rapport. At this point in time, students have potentially struggled with various topics, so the importance of instilling confidence in them before any tutoring begins is essential to their success. Nevertheless, prior to scheduling sessions, I like to meet with the student and/or parent(s). We work hand in hand to build their specialized plan of action. Students create a detailed description of their current situation and their desired results. Next, we come up with a set of goals and how to implement the plan of action appropriately to accomplish said results.
