About Lia

I think it's important for kids to start learning languages as early as possible in order for them to really have a connection with it. I've been learning Chinese for most of my life (for 9 years), and I grew up speaking English, Russian and Hebrew with my family in Minnesota. Now I am 13 years old and I'm homeschooled. By having strict teachers in the past I can tell you it gets boring, everyday is the same homework and the same class. I want to help kids accomplish their goals while also have fun at the same time, It's a win win! My focus is speaking and expanding vocabulary of my students, because it's the hardest part of learning a new language. I like working with kids and seeing them improve their language skills. I believe I can understand a kid more than any adult teacher. Try me, and you will see. ;)

I have a passion for languages and I love working with kids with patience. I also wanted to earn money so I started to teach.

I've been learning Chinese intensively as a native speaker for about 9 and a half years. I also speak Russian and English with my family, and I am fluent in all 3 languages.

About the lesson

First, I want to try to get to know the student. And see if he/she knows anything about the subject. Then I teach them the basics of the subject and see their improvements over some period time and set goals and challenges with them.
