About Ronny
**Learn from someone who has taught it, built it, and secured it.**
I'm Dr. Ronny L. Bull, a Ph.D. computer scientist with more than 14 years of university teaching experience — including seven years as a tenured Associate Professor of Computer Science — and over 20 years of hands-on industry experience in IT, networking, and security. I've taught everything from introductory programming and computer applications to graduate courses in operating systems, computer networking, and network security at institutions including SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Clarkson University, and Utica College.
Beyond the classroom, I've presented my network security research at DEF CON and international conferences, collaborated with NASA on space networking research, coached collegiate cyber defense (NECCDC) teams, and co-founded a regional cybersecurity competition. I hold industry certifications including CEH, Security+, CCNA, and Network+, and I've worked as everything from a PC repair technician to a network administrator to a senior consultant — so I can meet you at whatever level you're starting from.

My approach is practical and hands-on. I designed virtual lab environments used by universities across the country, and I bring that same "learn by doing" philosophy to tutoring: we don't just read about concepts — we build networks, write code, and break into (our own!) systems so the material truly sticks.
