About Silvia

I don't have a cooking degree but I've been cooking for 35 years. I grew up around Italian grandmas and a mother who made everything from scratch including the most intricate pastas. I am a true foodie. I forage for my own mushrooms, I buy the best ingredients and can make the most complex of dishes but also love to just open the fridge and create something simple yet delicious on the spot. It's all about knowing how to mix flavors, ingredients and techniques. Easy, wonderful, rewarding. Contact me and you too will know how to cook like a pro in no time.

My family and neighbors. A few classes online.

Not traditional culinary school. But I'm super concious of cleaningness, order and safe practices for cooking. No germs in my kitchen! I learn as a kid surrounded by Italian grandmas and French neighbors, down in Argentina. I've been cooking for almost 40 years. Experience, parties, and everything Martha Steward does but better :-)

On hands learning! From going shopping together to learn how to choose the best produce and spices to safe knife techniques.

Food tastings in Park City, Slow Food Organization Events (which I belong to) in Salt Lake City, walking the streets of Paris and eating French baguette sandwiches.
