About Andre
I offer a personalized bicycle maintenance lesson. You will have the chance to work one on one with a professional bicycle mechanic of 15 years to learn how to properly tune up and care for your bicycle. This is a hands on lesson so expect to get greasy.
I love the complexity of bicycle mechanics and simplicity of the bicycle. A mode of transportation, piece of workout equipment, leisure activity, or work of art; the bicycle is an amazing thing. They all function primarily the same way but the depth of knowledge and understanding of the intricacies on how it works in order to repair them is astounding. Bikes are neat!
I've taught basic mainentance classes as long as I've been doing mechanics.
15 years experience as a professional mechanic.
4 years experience as a Service Manager.
3 years as a bicycle shop owner.

There will first be an introductory email or phone call where I will ask the student what are his/her expectations of the lesson and if there are any specific things him/her would like to learn. That would be followed by arranging a time and place to meet for the lesson. The lesson will begin with an introduction to the bicycle including parts and basic functioning followed by a hands on guide through of a full tune up.
All kinds; young, old, absolute beginner to advanced.
Seek out someone who is dedicated to making sure you understand what is being taught. This requires communication, lots of questions, and patience.
