About Lindsay

I teach many styles of dance including modern, contemporary, ballet, grooves, hip hop hop, jazz fusion, dance cardio, and stretching/flexibility. I have been dancing for over 20 years and still work professionally. I received a degree in Dance from Saint Mary's College of California and incorporate dance in my daily life. I usually have my students attend private lessons at a studio in Union Square, but if the student has a free dance space they can acccess such as their home, I would be willing to look into traveling to the student. I charge $60 per hour-long private lesson and can accomodate teaching multiple students at once.

I enjoy making people feel comfortable in their bodies and learn to love movement. Movement is how we express ourselves, and I love introducing others to this valuable form of self expression. I am also a physical therapy student at NYU, so I teach dancers how to move their bodies with awareness and promote movement longevity!

I have been teaching for several years and have loved spreading my love for dance to others.

About the lesson

We discuss goals and style before meeting. We complete a warm up with dynamic exercise and proceed to learning across the floor movement that targets specific movements. We work through movement patterns with repition and feedback. The second half of class will be learning a combination and diving into the movement!

I have worked with all student from 3 to 75. I am also a personal trainer so teaching is what I do best.

Deadly! You have to book with Lindsey!! She was an amazing dance teacher. I’ve never dance in my life before (only played soccer). I’ve always wanted to take up ballet in my adult life and she was the perfect fit. She was patient and kind with how she taught. You can tell she is really passionate about dance.
