About Lanny
Have had many years of experience in the music business:
Playing drums, promoting bands, producing projects, running a recording studio, teaching students drums & recording techniques.
I have mentored many professional musicisians and students over the years, and hopefully, instilled the passion I have for professionalism and performing.
I strive for joy in music. Joy is different than happiness. Happiness is just in the moment, but attaining joy can sometimes be a hard process - the reward is in something of value that you've accomplished.
The three most important things to me are: What I'm doing, who I'm doing it with, and who I'm doing it for. All else in my life is way down the totem pole.

I usually start with a free lesson to mainly get the students goals - what they are looking to accomplish. Is it for personal pleasure, playing in a band, producing music of their, and any other goals they have. I aslo try to assess their skill level and make some suggestions to increasing the skills they need to attain their goals.
We also will talk about working with other musicians, professioninalism, listening - not just learning skills as a drummer, but also how to be a true & respected musician.
