About Renaud
Drums Private Lessons: I have a passion for Jazz and other styles and I am a performing musician in NYC with 25+ years of experience. The only way to keep music alive is to teach it and develop in students an in-depth appreciation for it. This is my goal.
Rhythm is a very basic, important and indeed vital part of our life: it's inside of us with our heartbeat, our breathing and our sleep pattern and also outside of us in nature: in the planets' motion that governs day and night and the seasons. All these have two properties in common: regularity and repetition.
Rhythm is the perfect introduction to the joyful universality of music!
Classical percussion and Jazz drumming.

Every one is different and I love the process of discovering the way to reach the triggers that will motivate students without motivation there is no progress!

Renaud is gifted both in music and in connecting to his students. My daughter had some different needs and he was able to meet her where she was and motivate her to go farther. He's the best!
Renaud has been a patient and very involved teacher to my teen son. He really appreciated Renaud's eclectic music styles and he was happy with his continuous progress. A great teacher that I absolutely recommend!
Very patient and skilled working with youth. Very personable and professional. Emphasizes the importance of using original sources as a reference point for learning how to play. Helps students listen to and transcribe drum solos as well as read music.
