About Corey

I am a doctoral student with 7 + years of experience looking to tutor a variable age range of students.

I have experience tutoring younger students in reading, writing, science and math. I am also familiar with e-learning and virtual learning. I am qualified and willing to pod tutor your children virtually or in my home. Groups no larger than three please. Prices for pod tutoring will vary based on the number of students and skill level required.

I have a great deal of experience tutoring older students as well; high school, undergraduate, Master's and Doctoral level students. I taught several semesters of a writing class for Master's level students. I am proficient at assisting in editing and formatting papers. I have a strong understanding of the different writing style formats (APA, MLA, and Chicago Style).

I am proficient and feel very comfortable assisting students with statistics, understating the implementation of statistics, and use of statistical programming software (SPSS, SAS).

I am patient, have strong interpersonal skills, and love helping others learn.

I began tutoring approximately 8 years ago with several younger children.

I have taught a Master's level writing course for several semesters at Indiana University.

During my course studies for my Ph.D., I tutored undergraduate and graduate level students in math (mostly statistics) and writing (assisting with research, writing, formatting and editing of papers).

I typically meet with children and their parents to determine whether or not I am the right fit to meet their child's educational needs.

I offer free consultations and meetings either via telephone or in person.

Prices for tutoring vary between $25.00 and $35.00 per hour depending on the number of students I am tutoring (pod sessions) and the level of skill required to tutor.
