About Ashleigh
Hi there! I'm a former journalist and paralegal who's now pursuing a teaching credential in English. While I usually work with high school students, I'm available to help students of all ages hone their writing and comprehension skills.
I have passed the CBEST and CSET examinations and have completed my first semester of student teaching via Cal State Fullerton's teacher induction program.
Helping kids learn while having fun! It's an incredible moment when a child's eyes light up when they a concept they've been struggling with suddenly clicks.

Day one is getting to know the student. What do they like? What are their hobbies? Do they have a favorite book? Video game? TV show? Then I get to work tailoring my lessons around their interests. I like to show how English can be practical and fun.
All kinds. As someone with ADHD, I especially like working with kids who also have the condition.
