About Kara
I am committed to helping students grow into thriving and capable readers and writers. I have a Master's degree in English Literature, and have experience working as both a writing instructor and a writing tutor at Virginia Tech. I have assisted high school and college level students with a writing widely ranging topics and genres. To name a few, I have helped students develop and revise personal narratives, literary analyses, and both humanities and STEM focused research papers. I am also comfortable working with elementary school students to develop foundational reading and writing skills. I am passionate about writing and literature, and would love the opportunity to help others feel passionate and confident in their reading/writing skills as well!
