About Isabella

At just 15, Isabella discovered her passion for teaching while helping her fellow classmates. Being very knowledgeable in subjects such as history and English, Isabella started to help kids in her neighborhood succeed in school and standardized testing. After 5 years of teaching experience, her knowledge increase with her college career and her students demonstrate their satisfaction by being loyal over many years.

I started helping mt friends for free during high school, as I was really good at some subjects and had a really easy time explaining what was happening. I then realized how much I liked transfering knowledge to people, and started to teach professionally.

In addition to being a tutor for many consecutive years, I was training as a Teacher Assistant at University of Miami and I have been professionally trained as an English teacher for an ESL institution abroad.

About the lesson

First time students are always the most interesting. Each person has a different way of absorbing information, so it is important to assess what the person prefers and what will capture their attention the best. My first session always include this assessment of what usually works with the student and what doesn’t and understanding the reason behing the student is searching for help. After that, each class is customized to fit the student’s need.

Most of my students started in the range of elementary and middle school. Now, most of them are in high school and continue to seek for help and tutoring sessions with me whenever they need. Adults are always welcomeif they are interested in the fields which I teach, for I have taught English and Portuguese for adults during my time abroad.
