About Miya
Miya began her career in early childhood education as an educator in preschool and elementary school settings throughout Maryland. Her passion for social-emotional learning and culturally responsive practice aided in developing holistic and inclusive learning experiences for young children. Miya received her Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Education from Towson University, and Masters of Education in Culturally Responsive Teacher Leadership from Bowie State University. Additionally, Miya is certified in Teaching English Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Maryland.
