About Martha
Innovative master teacher with experience teaching grades three through twelve. Newly retired. Able to meet students' needs and interests across a variety of learning styles with a focus on English and the humanities.
Reading, writing, including literary analysis and primary source analysis for research, help with academic organization, college essay mentoring and tutoring in elementary math through pre-algebra. Assistance in all subject areas to English language learners.

I was impressed by the school my children were attending, and the rigorous, yet progressive approach their teachers took in engaging with and teaching all students. After conversations with teachers and administrators there, I returned to school to get a masters degree in elementary education, and in the school where I taught, I was able to teach students in grades three through twelve during my tenure.
I have a masters degree in education and twenty-seven years teaching experience in a Pre-K through 12 school. I have taught in the elementary, middle and high school divisions.

I will ask you some questions, and depending on the subject I am tutoring, I may ask you to do some informal work. I am happy to talk to you about my qualifications and to answer your questions.
