About Rachel

I started teaching English to 9th graders 9 years ago at Tomball School. After my first year I was teaching Pre-AP English, and then became the debate coach by my 3rd year teaching. It wasn't long before I also took on the AP Lit position and was Pre-AP English I team leader. Teaching in the AP program helped push me as a reader and a writer, and forced me to get better at teaching writing.

Now, I have started a business called Eliteliterarybookgroup.com, which, if you visit my website, you can find out more about me, and even watch some videos of my teaching AP Literature. I recommend watching the Q3 on King Lear.

My favorite part of teaching literature and writing is helping students go deeper with their analysis. It's my goal to help them see the relevence and beauty of literature-- and how deepening those skills will, in turn, add value to their lives whether it be in academic or professional or personal endeavors. However, the real joy is the way learning literature helps students mature into more conscious, self-actualized human beings.

About the lesson

English lessons offered by Rachel are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.

The founders of this group are two of the most phenomenal educators that primary education has to offer. Whether it be teaching literature or life skills, they can connect with kids like most others cannot. I recommend this group to anyone seeking a quality education.

Ms. Beck is one of the smartest and most kind hearted people you will meet. I've learned more from her in a few months than I have during my entire highschool expierence. Not only will you learn more about literature, you will learn more about life and gain a new perspective. It is definitely an enriching experience

Both Rachel Beck and David Youngblood present their passion for literature and truly inspired me in their courses to read and think critically about these works of art. With out them I would not be at the level I find myself today in college, writing essays every week has not only become a breeze but also an enjoyable time. Great resource

Rachel Beck is one of the best teachers I’ve had. She has a vast understanding of literature but she always seems to make these works very accessible to her students. Beyond her professional skills, she is also very sweet and just the best.
