About Abigail

Dear students,

I am an English teacher who can teach the following:

A. Grammar

B. Essay Writing

C. Reading

D. World Literature

E. English as a Second Language

F. Test Preparartion

Some of my additional specialities that I developed over my years of teaching in a public school is : Art History, Health Education and World History.

My qualification includes a Batchelor degree in English teaching for Secondary Students, and currently doing a Master's Program in English Education. I assisted students to achieve their goal especially in test preparation and writing.

I got into teaching when i found myself explaining things to my classmate. My teachers complimented on how I explain things and I decided to be a teacher. During my college days, I became a speaking companion to Vietnamese students in my school and as a part-time I tutored my landlady's niece and two nephew for the duration my college course which is 3 years. Then I became a substitute teacher for 2 months in a high school. I enjoyed teaching with kids and teens.

I am a degree holder in teaching Secondary Education with a major in English, and currently doing my Master's degree in English Education which is specializing in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages and Teaching English as a Second Language. In the six years I've been teaching in the publich school system, I was assigned in teaching History class, Computer class, Art History, World History and Literature. Although the aforementioned class are not related to my major but I enjoyed them and enjoyed teaching them.

About the lesson

I would assess them if it is my first time working with them and help them in where they are struggling with. After that assist them in their strong suits and strengthen their other skill as we progress in the lesson.

The type of students I've worked with are elementary students, middle schoolers and foreign students who are learning English as their second language or as a foreign language.

My advice to students looking to hire a teacher is to read the services they offer. English has very vast topics and need to be specific on what they want to learn.

Aside from the specialization they had, you can ask what are the other things they like to teach.

The recent event that I am fond of is my class' drinking party before we are having our major test the day before. I suggested it out of the blue and the kids where enthused about the idea. I pleadged hot breakfast rolls and hot water, the kids brought thier own cups or mugs and variety of tea bags or chocolate packets. I see their happy face and their eagerness to participate. This are my fond memories of my current class
