About Lara
I am a certified teacher in Massachusetts, licensed in Elementary (Grades 1-6), and ESL (Pre-K-6) Education, with a Master's Degree in Elementary Ed. I currently teach fifth grade and have also taught third grade. In addition to my work as a classroom teacher, I have tutored and worked with children at all grade levels between preschool and sixth grade. I am available to tutor children entering grades 1-6 in any subject (reading/phonics, writing, math, science, social studies, or ESL), depending on your child's needs. I offer reading and math intervention services to support students in meeting grade level benchmarks, tutoring to maintain skills and prevent the "summer slide", and enrichment services aimed toward giving students a "leg up" for the next grade. I am extremely flexible and will cater my instruction to meet your family's needs and desires. My instruction is relevant and engaging. I believe that all children are capable of success when they are confident and engaged.
